Parabolicon: Self-propelling objects.
.
A geometric form where an object can advance across a terrain, without wheels, or engine.
“The Hexacon (Initially I named it Parabolicon) is a new member to the line segment bodies, solids whose surfaces are created by self-intersecting ruled surfaces that create closed 3D space (Like the sphericon and the oloid). It is also a member of a new sub-group that I discovered which I name Polycons. Each member of this sub-group is made of even number of identical cone segments (I'll describe this group in details later on). A common and unique characteristic of some (actually half) of the solids that belong to this group is that while rolling on a flat surface their height is kept constant. This fact makes them a special kind of solids of constant width.”
This object provides important design applications for carrying things across a landscape.
